Name
The name Cerventi is derived from the latin word for neck "Cervix", and the latin for wind "ventus". Together they mean "wind of the neck" or "neck wind".

Formulation
This is the classical, unmodified version of Ge Gen Tang
Ge Gen, Ma Huang, Sheng Jiang, Gui Zhi, Bai Shao, Gan Cao

Pueraria, Ephedra, Ginger rhizome, Peony root, Cinnamon twig, Licorice root

Other Ingredients: Water, Ethanol, Acacia Vera, Honey

Chinese Medicine
Releases the exterior and muscle layers, Dispels Wind-Cold
Used for wind-cold invasion with stiff neck and back, aversion to cold and wind, absence of sweating, and diarrhea.

Dosing Recommendations
This tincture can be administered at any time. A standard dose is 1 tsp 2x/day for mild stiff neck or wind-cold symptoms. In acute cases, dosage may be increased up to 2 tsp 4x/day, then reduced as the formula takes effect.

Cautions
Contraindicated during pregnancy. Contraindicated for conditions due to wind heat. Contraindicated for spontaneous sweating or night sweats. Use with caution in hypertension as Ma Huang may raise blood pressure in some cases. Contraindicated in wind-cold exterior deficiency patterns with sweating.
