Lunalux is crafted from two of Chinese medicine’s most time-honored sleep formulas—Suan Zao Ren Tang and Chai Hu Long Gu Mu Li Tang—blended with precision to address both the restless mind and the overactive body that keep sleep out of reach.

Suan Zao Ren Tang, first recorded in Zhang Zhong-jing’s Synopsis of Prescriptions of the Golden Chamber (Jin Gui Yao Lue), is renowned for nourishing the Liver Blood and calming the Spirit. Its chief herb, Suan Zao Ren (Ziziphus seed), is traditionally used for difficulty falling asleep, fitful sleep, and dream-disturbed nights. Modern studies support its use for improving sleep quality, reducing nighttime waking, and balancing the sleep–wake cycle.

Chai Hu Long Gu Mu Li Tang, another classical formula, was developed to anchor unsettled Yang and calm the Shen when the spirit is restless. It incorporates a group of heavy settling herbs—Long Gu (Fossilized bone), Mu Li (Oyster shell), and Dai Zhe Shi (Hematite)—which are central to Lunalux. These minerals exert a downward, stabilizing action, drawing unsettled energy back into the body, easing agitation, and helping the mind and spirit settle into stillness for sleep.

Cool Dark Quiet Bedroom.  Building these routines helps create the right environment for healthy sleep.
