We pride ourselves in the quality of our extracts
Developing the process to create these beautiful extracts has taken almost ten years. We have utilized traditional chinese techniques, borrowed from other industries, and developed modern methods to gently coax the active ingredients out of herbs without losing anything in the extraction process. The unique method we have created retains all of the active ingredients and essential oils in the natural herbs and puts them into the most concentrated solution available. But, for us, the wonderful thing about these extracts is not just the number of molecules per milliliter; it is the energy and spirit of the herbs inherent in the solution you take.
We grind the herbs to uniform size before they are run through our unique extraction process. Our closed loop system gently warms the herbs and solvent and pushes the solution through the herbs, taking all of their essence with it. Nothing is lost in the process and nothing is left behind. Our process creates a pure concentrated extract that is easy to take, economical, and clean.
And we do it all from beginning to end. Whether it is writing formulas, planting herbs, measuring alcohol content or welding new equipment, we do all the work. We love everything from the rawness of working the land, to the unerring precision of extraction, to the shine of the stainless steel equipment in the lab. A Low Impact Lab
We believe strongly in using the smallest medical intervention to get out patients better. We also believe in using the smallest amount of resources as possible to get our extracts made.
Recycling
The only paper we do use is recycled and shredded Our packing material is reclaimed newspaper.
Lighting
Our shop is lit by natural light and LED lighting only.
Cleaning
Our cleaning supplies include only: Alcohol, vinegar, and hydrogen peroxide. There are no other chemicals or cleaning agents in the shop at all.
Reusing
We have a bottle recycling program available to our local providers and patients. Used bottles get returned to us to get sanitized and reused.
Watering
Our cleaning water gets used to water our apple and peach trees. (And the fallen apples and peaches get fed to our chickens!)
